Today on the podcast I was very lucky to have Karen Gershowitz she is a travel writer, travel author, business consultant and more. Karen left home for Europe alone at age seventeen, she travelled to more than ninety countries. By profession, Karen is a meeting facilitator and marketing researcher who has conducted thousands of interviews and focus groups. Those skills have helped her develop a deep connection with people around the world. Every day she writes a 100-word essay about some aspect of travel and posts it to her large following on Facebook. She has endless stories about both business and personal travel, viewed specifically from a single woman’s perspective. In July 2021, she released her travel memoir, Travel Mania: Stories of Wanderlust, which was published by SheWrites Press. She also started her own successful marketing consulting firm in 1992 and now she mentors entrepreneurs through Score (affiliated with the Small Business Administration). Karen has mentored many people with great success stories. We talked about a number of things, how she got the travel bug, we also talked about her travelling life and how she hit two million miles of travelling under her belt.
